Matching Manicures Sudany: Halfmoons

Polumesec manikir je vrsta relativno jednostavnog manikira koji se može uraditi na više načina - pomoću trakica, tankom četkicom ili čak četkicom iz laka. Nikad ranije nisam radila ovakakv manikir i sada sam pokušala da komplikujem stvari, a o čemu se radi možete pogledati u nastavku. 

Halfmoon manicure is a relatively simple manicure which can be done in various ways - using tip guides, thin brush or even just using polish brush. I had never done this kind of manicure before and now I tried to complicate things; keep reading I you want to see what it is about.

Odlučila sam se za uspravni polumesec umesto da radim klasičan, uz koren nokta. Nanela sam sloj baze i dva sloja laka pa sloj brzosušećeg nadlaka (EzFlow Fast Finish) i kada se to dobro osušilo polepila sam trakice. Stavila sam malo providnog laka pa posula šljokice i pritisnnula ih prstom da bi što manje štrčale (što mi i nije pošlo za rukom) i onda odlepila trakice. Tankom četkicom sam uokvirila "polumesec" koristeći sivi lak. Nanela sam dva sloja nadlaka na kraju. 

Ne bih rekla da su ove crtaste šljokice (ispravite me ako imaju neki bolji naziv :D) pogodne za upotrebu u debelom sloju jer imaju tendenciju da štrče, no ako to ostavimo po strani i nisam toliko nezadovoljna samim manikirom. 

I decided to do vertical halfmoon, and not the classical one at the nail base. I applied a layer of base coat and two coats of polish and also fast drying top coat (EzFlow Fast Finish). When all that was dry, I placed the tip guides, applied some clear polish and added bar glitter. I tried to press it down as much as possible so it doesn't stick out (though I kind of failed). I used a striping brush and grey polish to outline the halfmoons. In the end I applied two layers of top coat. 

I wouldn't say that bar glitter is convenient to use in thick layer like I did because it has tendency to stick out, but if we put that aside, I am not that unsatisfied with the final outcome.

The tip guides stick nicely to the nail, the polish doesn't go underneath and ther is no glue left after removing. You can find them here for 0.99$.
