Matching Manicures Sunday: Water Marble

Tehnika koja mnogima u svetu ukrašavanja noktiju zadaje glavobolju jeste vodeno mramoriranje. Svega tri puta sam do sada radila ovakve maniire, a prethodni pokušaj možete pogledate ovde. 

The technique which gives many nail artists headaches is water marbling. I've done it only three times so far and you can see my previous attempt here.

Čačkalicu / Toothpick

Nanela sam bazu pa sam se dvoumila šta za podlogu da uzmem i na kraju je odluka pala na plavi Essence-ov lak (jedan sloj). Za mramoriranje sam koristila flaširanu vodu. Svaka druga kap je bila ljubičasta, a između su išli redom ostali lakovi. Nisam se trudila da napravim pravilan oblik, vodila sam se onim "kako bude - bude". Upotrebom belog laka kao baze, boje bi došle više do izražaja ali meni se ovaj prigušeni efekat dopada i zadovoljna sam manikirom. Zaštitila sam ga slojem nadlaka. 

I applied base coat and I was thinking about choosing the base polish and I picked blue Essence The Metals in the end (one coat applied). For the marbling itself I used bottled water. Every other drop was purple and in between I used all other polishes, one by one. I didn't even try to create regular shapes, I just randomly drag the toothpick across the polish. Using white polish as base. the colours would pop out more but I love this muted effect and I am satisfied with my manicure. I protected it with a layer of top coat.
